So I saw Captain America: Civil War. I was very excited to start off the summer and this movie does not disappoint. It is a strange thing that the closer we get to movies being comic books the less I judge them as good movies and the more I Feel they are a good comic. In this case I’m just happy to see these characters being portrayed so loyally and when I get the money I’ll actually read Civil War 1 start to finish. Basically I was only questioning the need to have Cap have a love interest at all so making it an issue was kind of weird and forced? Yes- very. This was better as a testament to The love of Bucky and Peggy god bless her soul. Captain A is good as our King Arthur. We all need a good figure to get behind and his nobility sets him apart. A guiding light Berning our way and  showing us that we must take our individuality and personal conscience hand in hand if we want to even begin to resemble the spirit of Captain America. Tell Stark to shove his super hero registration right up his arse!

I got to hang out with my awesome friend John Jennison – he was showcasing his work Permanent Person. I love this strip: https://twitter.com/Johnneecurtis Cancer it’s me John. I bought the queer scifi anthology Beyondhttp://www.goodreads.com/book/show/20625032-beyond from Artist/Creator Kori Michele. I wanted to submit this to Portland Maine’s cool project One Page Stinkers. Hope you like it and thank you Maine for still being coolStinker1.

A statement that could have saved the movie.

So I know I’m late with this review but I want to say that BVS was very interesting as a movie I couldn’t leave alone in my head. After seeing Civil War this weekend I know that it is possible to have a good large cast super hero movie and my faith is renewed that we may still get better stand alone movies than this muddy bore. I started reading Wonder Woman because my dad read it and when you run out of your titles and you want more then you read what your dad reads. I’m not impressed by the always “hardcore” wonder woman I’ve seen in this and animated versions. This country needs a hero that isn’t afraid to be fighting for peace in the end and that’s why I love this character- in my version of this movie she would have broken up this silly fight that Batman would explain was all due to his love for Superman and his hatred for himself- he is after all madly in love with Clark after his own Robin died. I mean riight?bvs1

Fairieville

Fairieville is an oldie with some potential so that’s what I’m trying to work on- I’m getting older and there are things I need to do.

There’s been some things I’m trying to tackle. Getting my website to work with me was a challenge. I decided to stick it out with WordPress after all the temptation to make a site with Squarespace. I turned out to like it so here we go. I’m inking a book now to see light of day so this website should getting updated every other week at least. The other week is going to www.lightningduck.com see belowhttp://www.lightningduck.com

Graduation

This is a piece I did for one of my favorite podcasts: Rachel and Miles Xplain the X-men. Unfortunately I must’ve been too late as they never posted it to my knowledge but the idea was to re-design the graduation outfits that I believe happened sometime after I stopped reading the book. This was my look as I imagine them casually graduating in as normal an everyday attire as possible. Too homo sapien normative? Maybe…
